280 posts and posting!

Today marks my two hundred and eighty first post on my blog! I thought it would be appropriate to post a lovely photo of these flowers I spotted at work today. The Sun has finally decided to make an appearance. A day late and a dollar short, but I’ll take it!

tulips

Tried to capture the beauty of the tulips Kari gave me. They were gorgeous! Of course, little Trudi seemed to get in the background of the picture. Ohhh, and the bright light glow from outside… How I love the changing from Winter to Spring!

the susans

Right about now I am really beginning to need some serious sunshine to warm up my face and bones. I’ve been told that winter is truly just beginning here in the pacific northwest and that the weather won’t warm up until July. Yikes! I’m really looking forward to our getaway weekend for Valentine’s. I just hope there is sunshine where we are heading to.

full moon

What a week it has already been. I am feeling emotion – on the edge of becoming very weepy. I’ve received very sad news from two very close friends in the last couple of days. I really don’t have many words to describe how I’m feeling. Maybe my photos will be a better illustration of how I am feeling this week. So, I’ll leave it at that.

Today is a day where I’d rather put on my pajamas, curl up in a ball and cry a damn good cry for a few hours or perhaps a few days. Maybe it’s the cancerian mother/friend in me, but I’m feeling very deeply for my friends and their families. I wish I could wrap my arms around them and hold them tight.

I wish we could all be in a place where we could run free in a field filled with irises, dahlias, sunflowers, tall grasses – and the warm sun beating on our sunshiney faces. … Running. free.

city of roses

I stumbled upon this sweet neighborhood rose garden yesterday. The garden had almost every color and variety of roses planted. All were in perfect bloom. It’s no wonder the city of roses is so serious about the flowers. They are truly gorgeous!
